Quantum establishes American Renewable Power LLC to own and operate US biomass power plants
Quantum Pacific Capital ("Quantum") announces the establishment of American Renewable Power LLC ("ARP") as a dedicated vehicle to invest in the US biomass power generation sector. ARP will acquire, own and operate existing biomass plants located throughout the US. Biomass provides 24/7 baseload renewable power which is increasingly in demand by large power customers. The US EPA has classified biomass power (which is primarily wood-waste) as a carbon reduction technology. Quantum expects to complete its' first US biomass acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2017.
